Duties of the Consumer Rights Directorate Presidency
- To make regulations regarding the protection of the rights of subscribers, users, consumers, and end-users and to take necessary measures.
- To make regulations regarding subscription agreements, to review subscription agreements, and to notify the operator of matters deemed necessary to be changed.
- To take necessary measures and make regulations regarding the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy.
- To make regulations regarding the service quality of electronic communication services provided to consumers and end-users.
- To conduct studies and make regulations taking into account the special needs of disabled, elderly, and socially vulnerable groups.
- To conduct necessary studies and make regulations for determining consumer needs and protecting their interests.
- To determine procedures and principles regarding the consumer complaints resolution mechanism.
- To inform and raise awareness among consumers, to conduct or commission necessary research on consumer behaviors, and to develop recommendations.
- To conduct relations with the Ministry regarding universal service, and with the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding consumers.
- To perform other duties assigned by the President.
