Duties of the Technical Regulations Directorate Presidency

• To make technical regulations regarding devices and systems used in the sector.
  
• To make regulations regarding the import, production, and installation of systems and terminal equipment used and to be used in the sector.
  
• To determine the procedures and principles regarding market surveillance and inspection of all kinds of devices and systems used in the sector, and to conduct or have conducted the surveillance and inspection to ensure that they are produced in accordance with the relevant regulations and offered for service during the stages of being offered to the market, being available or distributed, or while in the market.
• To determine the procedures and principles regarding the publication of network interface technical specifications, and to ensure that information regarding these technical specifications is announced correctly, sufficiently, and periodically by operators.
• Excluding mobile electronic communications services and infrastructures, to make technical regulations regarding service quality for electronic communications services and infrastructures, to inspect or have inspected compliance with these regulations, and to determine the procedures and principles regarding the technical criteria to be used in these inspections and their measurement.
• To determine the procedures and principles regarding the assignment of private or public institutions that will carry out conformity assessment activities to confirm that all kinds of devices and systems used in the sector are produced in accordance with technical regulations, and to carry out the necessary operations within the framework of the determined procedures and principles.
• To ensure the up-to-date publication of the list containing harmonized national standards and corresponding harmonized European standards that form the basis for the manufacturing and use of all kinds of devices and systems used in the sector.
  
• To conduct standardization studies related to the sector,
• To perform other duties assigned by the President
