Trade in Services Agreements and Free Trade Agreements - TISA/FTA

Following the deadlock in the World Trade Organization (WTO) Doha Round of negotiations, negotiations were initiated towards the signing of a plurilateral Trade in Services Agreement with the participation of 24 WTO members, including the EU and our country, in order to give impetus to trade in services, and these efforts were activated through meetings in 2013. Participation in these meetings is ensured by providing contributions to the e-commerce, telecommunications, and delivery services annexes. These negotiations were suspended in December 2016.

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Economy, Free Trade Agreement negotiations are being conducted with Singapore, Peru, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Pakistan, Russia, Japan, Moldova, Georgia, Indonesia, Thailand, Ukraine, and EFTA countries, and contributions are being made by the Institution to these agreement texts within the framework of the TiSA Agreement.
