Abdulkadir URALOĞLU
Born in Trabzon in 1966.
URALOĞLU, who graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of Karadeniz Technical University in 1988, worked as a Field Engineer in the private sector in the same year.
URALOĞLU began his career at the General Directorate of Highways in 1989 as a Survey Team Engineer at the Erzurum 12th Regional Directorate. Between 1990 and 1998, he served as a Survey Team Engineer, Control Engineer, and Control Chief at the Ankara 4th Regional Directorate, and in 1998, he was appointed as the Construction Chief Engineer at the Erzurum Regional Directorate.
In 2003, URALOĞLU became the Deputy Regional Director of the Trabzon 10th Region. In 2005, he was appointed as the Regional Director of Kayseri 6th Region, and in 2006, as the Regional Director of Samsun 7th Region.
In 2009, URALOĞLU was briefly assigned as the Regional Director of Bursa 14th Region at the Highways, then returned to Samsun and served as the Regional Director there for a total of 6.5 years.
Appointed as the Director of Izmir 2nd Regional Directorate in 2012, URALOĞLU was appointed as the General Director of Highways by the Presidential Decree published on July 23, 2018.
URALOĞLU contributed to the implementation of Divided Roads, Hot Mix Asphalt coated roads, improvement of single-platform roads, and Build-Operate-Transfer Highway projects, which gained momentum under the Emergency Action Plan launched in 2003.
While managing the construction, planning, and design works of new highway, divided road, bridge, and tunnel projects that will provide significant gains to our country's highway network, URALOĞLU also places special emphasis on research and development activities for the renewal of the Highways Machinery Park and increasing the usage rate of domestic and national vehicles.
He has actively worked on-site to ensure transportation and eliminate the adverse effects of disasters during the 2018 Ünye, 2019 Araklı, 2021 Rize Artvin, 2021 Ayancık, 2021 Kastamonu floods, 2021 Antalya-Muğla fires, 2020 Elazığ, 2020 İzmir, and February 6 earthquakes.
He also serves as the Chairman of the Roads Turkish National Committee (YTMK), Highways Foundation (KAV), and TT Mobile Board of Directors.
Abdulkadir URALOĞLU is married and has three children.
