Authorization
Authorization refers to the registration of companies with the Authority for the purpose of providing electronic communication services and/or electronic communication networks, or granting these companies specific rights and obligations particular to electronic communication services upon such registration.
Pursuant to the Electronic Communications Law No. 5809, taking into account the Ministry's strategies and policies regarding electronic communications, making regulations on authorization and issuing related secondary regulations are among the duties of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority.
Authorization in the electronic communications sector primarily aims at;
- Increasing the number of players in the sector to create a competitive environment,
- Establishing a reliable environment in the sector,
- Encouraging domestic and foreign investment,
- Ensuring the healthy development of the sector,
- Efficient and effective use of national resources,
- Widespread provision of services,
- Ensuring the provision of services of a certain quality to consumers,
- Protecting consumers.
