International Agreements

International telecommunications organizations such as ITU and CEPT, of which our country is a member, conduct their activities within the framework of the rules stipulated by their Constitutive Acts and Conventions. At the General Assembly meetings held by these organizations at certain periods, changes are made to the Constitutive Acts and Conventions based on proposals from member countries. For the amended Constitutive Acts and Conventions to enter into force and have binding force, they must be approved by the parliaments of the member countries.

The Information and Communication Technologies Authority conducts the processes for the approval by the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) of changes made in the basic documents of international telecommunications organizations or important agreements prepared within these organizations. The Final Documents and Conventions that have completed their approval processes and been enacted into law to date are listed below.
