Technical Regulations and Standardization

Our institution, which operates to establish a competitive and advanced telecommunications sector in our country, places great importance on effectively and efficiently following the developments in the standardization field where rapid globalization is occurring.

Our institution is a full member of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), an observer status member of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), and also the National Standards Organization (NSO).

Turkey's relations with international standards organizations in the telecommunications field are conducted through our institution, and within the scope of the studies carried out by these organizations, ensuring coordination with relevant institutions in our country, preparing the Turkish position, and implementing the decisions taken are under the responsibility of our institution.

In addition, studies are being conducted within our institution to follow the applications of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and European Union (EU) standardization policies, to which our country is a party, in the telecommunications sector and to safeguard national interests.
