Good news to mobile subscribers-discount in upper price limits
GOOD NEWS TO MOBILE SUBSCRIBERS – DISCOUNT IN UPPER PRICE LIMITS
Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) Chairman Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan expressed that price tariffs in mobile telephone subscriptions are redetermined and told “Some of the upper price limits for mobile telephony has been decreased around 60%”.
In his statement, Sayan announced that ICTA redetermined the “Mobile Electronic Communication Services Price Ceiling Chart” which regulates the upper price limits for mobile phone operators.
THE UPPER LIMITS SUBJECT TO DISCOUNT
Sayan told “For mobile phone subscriptions, the upper price limit of ‘Name/Title Change’ has been decreased 66%, from 17 TL to 6 TL per transaction,
The upper price limit of ‘Number Change’ has been decreased 62%, from 52 TL to 20 TL per transaction,
The upper price limit of ‘SIM Card Change due to Loss, Theft, User Failure’ has been decreased 54%, from 43 TL to 20 TL per transaction.
Moreover, ‘SIM Card Change Under Warranty’ transactions will be made free of charge.”
Sayan announced that BTK did not raise the upper price limit for mobile calls and SMS.
VALID FROM NOVEMBER 1st
Sayan expressed that new upper price limits determined by ICTA is valid from November 1st and told “Determined values are maximum applicable prices. Mobile phone operators cannot charge above these prices and should apply their prices below them.”
