Technical Regulations and Standardization

Our institution, which operates to establish a competitive and advanced telecommunications sector in our country, attaches importance to effectively and efficiently following the developments in the standardization field where rapid globalization is taking place.

Our institution is a full member of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and an observer member of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

Turkey's relations with international telecommunications standards organizations are conducted through our institution, and within the scope of the studies carried out at these organizations, ensuring coordination with relevant institutions in our country, preparing the Turkish position, and implementing the decisions taken are under the responsibility of our institution.

In addition, studies are being conducted within our institution to follow the implementation of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and European Union (EU) standardization policies, to which our country is a party, in the telecommunications sector and to safeguard national interests.
