Electronic Communication Services, Networks and Infrastructures Not Subject to Authorisation

According to Article 8 of Law No. 5809 on Electronic Communications, the principle is that the required electronic communications service and/or network or infrastructure shall primarily be procured from operators authorized by the Authority. However;

1) Those used by a natural or legal person exclusively for their personal or institutional needs within the immovable properties under their own use and not extending beyond the boundaries of each immovable property, not used for providing any electronic communications service to third parties, not pursued for any commercial purpose in their provision, and not offered to the public for use, and

2) Electronic communications services and/or networks or infrastructure established by public institutions and organizations, exclusively for the services they provide, in accordance with their specific laws, are not subject to authorization.
