Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102 dated 13/1/2011: provisions regarding registered electronic mail:
- Article 18, paragraph 3: “Notifications or warnings between merchants regarding putting the other party in default, terminating the contract, or withdrawing from the contract are made through a notary public, registered mail, telegraph, or the registered electronic mail system using a secure electronic signature.”
- Article 1525, paragraph 2: “The procedures and principles regarding the registered electronic mail system, transactions to be conducted through this system and their results, real persons, enterprises, and companies with registered electronic mail addresses, the rights and obligations of registered electronic mail service providers, their authorization, and supervision are regulated by a regulation issued by the Information Technologies and Communication Authority. The regulation shall be published within five months from the date of publication of this Law.”
