Cyber Security Strategy and Action Plan

The “National Cyber Security Strategy and 2013-2014 Action Plan” was approved by the Cyber Security Board at the meeting dated 21/12/2012 and published in the Official Gazette with the Council of Ministers' decision dated 20/06/2013 and numbered 28683.

The purpose of the National Cyber Security Strategy and 2013-2014 Action Plan is;

1. To ensure the security of all kinds of services, transactions, and data provided by public institutions and organizations through information technologies, as well as the systems used in their provision,
2. To ensure the security of information systems belonging to critical infrastructures operated by the public or private sector,
3. To minimize the impacts of cyber security incidents, to determine strategic cyber security actions aimed at enabling systems to return to normal operations in the shortest time after incidents, and to ensure more effective investigation and prosecution of the committed crimes by judicial authorities and law enforcement,

to establish an infrastructure oriented towards these objectives.

The work on the National Cyber Security Strategy and 2015-2016 Action Plan is ongoing as of April 2015. Our institution actively participates in and contributes to the focus meetings and workshops coordinated by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication during the preparation process of the said strategy and action plan.
