General Information
The Information Society, although it lacks a single definition universally accepted on a global scale; is a term that defines societies where information itself or activities aimed at the production, processing, and distribution of information are regarded as the fundamental input and power source in economic, political, social, and cultural domains. The Information Society emerged with the transition from the Industrial Age to the Information Age, and numerous studies are being conducted targeting the transformation into an Information Society at national, regional, or global levels.
