Frequently Asked Questions Regarding KEPHS

An anonymous joint-stock company established to establish and operate a KEP system, and an administration authorized to make notifications in the electronic environment pursuant to the provisions of Notification Law No. 7201 dated 11/2/1959, may apply to become a KEPHS.
Those operating as Electronic Certificate Service Providers (ECSPs) or as operators within the scope of the Electronic Communications Law No. 5809 dated 5 November 2008 cannot apply to become Registered Electronic Mail Service Providers (REMSPs).
The review period for the documents submitted during the application is 15 days. If there are deficiencies in the application documents, an additional period of up to 15 days is granted. Following the document review, a 2-month on-site inspection period begins. If deficiencies are detected during the on-site inspection, an additional period of up to 1 month is granted.
As a result, if there are no deficiencies, the application is concluded within 2 months and 15 days; if deficiencies are detected in the documents and during the on-site inspection, it is concluded within 4 months.
