The "Tech Connect Ankara - 5G Era: New Horizons with Next-Generation Connectivity" event organized by Vodafone (Business) was held.
At the event held in Ankara, Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, President of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, met with sector representatives and stakeholders, emphasizing that with 5G, efficiency and productivity will reach the highest levels, data communication will accelerate approximately 10 times, and new doors will be opened across a wide range from smart devices to industrial applications.
Highlighting that the technological journey, which began with analog communication in the 1980s, has now been taken to a new dimension with 5G, Karagözoğlu stated that 5G technology, with its high data capacity, low latency, and ability to connect millions of devices simultaneously, will be the main carrier of digital transformation in many areas from public services to health, transportation to security.
Also touching on developments in communication and infrastructure in his speech, BTK President Karagözoğlu stated that with the recent 5G Authorization Tender, a significant milestone has been passed in Turkey's next-generation communication infrastructure. Noting that sector stakeholders have accelerated their infrastructure preparations in this process, Karagözoğlu indicated that with 5G-compatible infrastructures, the country's digital transformation process will gain momentum.
