
Hosted by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), with contributions from BTK Academy, the iftar programs bring together sector representatives and young people in the unity and sharing atmosphere of the Ramadan month.
This week, the programs held with contributions from Turknet, Trendyol-Uber, and the Access Providers Union (ESB) were attended by BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, Vice President Beytullah Kuşçu, Head of Human Resources and Training Department Mustafa Ermiş, sector representatives, students, and numerous guests.
Speaking at the programs, President Karagözoğlu touched upon the effects of digitalization. Explaining the transformation in communication and infrastructure, Karagözoğlu drew attention to the rapid changes in global power balances.

Karagözoğlu emphasized the importance of the National Technology Initiative, stating that Turkey aims to be a country that leads, not just follows, in digital transformation. Touching on the strategic value of national production, Karagözoğlu said that BTK prioritizes creating a balanced digital ecosystem, encouraging innovation, and protecting user rights.
Addressing the youth, Karagözoğlu emphasized that young people will play a critical role in Turkey's digital future. Particularly highlighting the importance of qualified human resources in software, data analytics, and artificial intelligence fields, Karagözoğlu conveyed the necessity for young people to grow as individuals who develop technology, not just consume it.
He also reminded that the trainings offered by BTK Academy provide an important opportunity to prepare young people in line with the requirements of the era.
