
The traditional iftar programs, organized by BTK Academy with contributions from sector stakeholders throughout the Ramadan month at the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, have come to an end.
In the last week of Ramadan, public representatives, sector officials, and young people came together at the same table at iftar programs organized by leading companies in the technology and communications sector: Samsung, Türk Telekom, Vodafone, Turkcell, and Huawei.
Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan and Information Technologies and Communication Authority President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu also addressed the guests and young people at the organized iftar programs.
Speaking at the programs, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan emphasized the importance of strong communication infrastructures and qualified human resources in the digital transformation era.
Sayan stated that communication infrastructures have played a determining role in the development of civilizations in every era and used the following expressions, drawing attention to the importance of next-generation communication technologies.
Deputy Minister Sayan told the young people that technology is one of the most important areas shaping the future and that young people need to be an active part of this transformation. He advised the young people to focus on research, learning, and technology production.
BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, in his speeches, emphasized that the digital transformation process is possible with strong infrastructure and vision. Underscoring the role of young people in technology production, Karagözoğlu said, “Digitalization is like a seed growing on the right ground. Our responsibility is to create a strong and secure digital foundation; that of our young people is to grow on this foundation and develop projects that add value to our country and the world.”
The iftar programs held at BTK embodied the spirit of unity, solidarity, and sharing of the Ramadan month together with sector stakeholders, while also contributing to strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors.
