
Information Technologies and Communication Authority personnel gathered at the traditional iftar program. Emphasis was placed on unity and togetherness at the event held in the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan.
At the iftar program, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan and BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu joined the institution's personnel at the same table.
In his speech, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan emphasized the importance of being a family, stating that the strong bonds established with employees form the foundation of successes. Drawing attention to unity and sense of belonging through the concept of home, Sayan addressed the employees with the words, “This is BTK and you are my family.”
Evaluating the process since 2015, Sayan noted that the digital transformation starting with 4.5G has elevated Turkey to the upper league, and significant steps have been taken towards 5G and domestic-national technology goals.
Recalling the pandemic process experienced in 2016, Sayan stated that digital infrastructure played a vital role during that period. “Internet was not a comfort in those days; it was life itself,” said Sayan, adding that BTK employees performed their duties with great dedication during this process.
Also touching on the earthquake disaster in 2023, Sayan emphasized the vital importance of communication in crisis moments, saying, “We were challenged but we did not stop. We set up mobile base stations in the field and rebuilt the infrastructure.”
Emphasizing that the human factor lies at the core of the institution's successes, Sayan thanked all employees for their efforts and expressed his belief that even greater successes will be achieved together in the upcoming period.
In his speech at the program, BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu highlighted the sharing and solidarity spirit of the month of Ramadan. Noting that they gathered with many students at iftar tables this year as well, Karagözoğlu thanked all personnel who contributed to the organization.
Particularly emphasizing the dedicated work of the administrative staff, Karagözoğlu also thanked the families of the institution's employees, stating, “Our families are the unseen partners in our success.”
The iftar program concluded with emphasis on the importance of reflecting the unity and togetherness spirit of the month of Ramadan into the institutional culture, along with holiday wishes.
