National Internship Program Traditional Career Meeting was hosted by PTT Ahlatlıbel Facilities. During the program, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu and Chairman of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu met with the students.
Speaking at the event attended by 417 interns, Chairman of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu said, “Our country is now primarily a producing, exporting, and export revenue-generating nation in the information and communication technologies sector, with a growth rate that accelerates day by day. This situation is quite pride-inducing for our country.”
Emphasizing that education is the most fundamental tool for achieving future goals, Karagözoğlu stated, “With this mindset, through BTK Academy established under BTK, we discover young talents like you with specially prepared training and events for both children and youth age groups, and help increase the knowledge accumulation of our youth.”
Highlighting that BTK Academy has exceeded 2 million users, Karagözoğlu said, “We offer free training to a large number of our youth on artificial intelligence, coding, programming, and software, both face-to-face at our main campus and online for those who cannot access them here, striving to reach everyone who demands it, especially children and youth from all corners of our country.”
Karagözoğlu stated, “Under the studies conducted by BTK Academy, every individual can undergo an education process suitable to their own learning pace and style. Modern, flexible, and modular education structures allow students to receive training according to their needs.”
Stating that they continue their efforts to prepare youth for the digital world of the future within the scope of the “Century of Turkey” vision, Karagözoğlu said, “BTK Academy opens the doors to career paths in the software and informatics world for youth without condemning them to stereotypes and preconditions. It sets aside the ‘you can’t do it’ mentality, asks youth ‘how do you do it,’ and finds the answer to this question together.”
Karagözoğlu said, “Through the trainings and events we organize, we host important companies from our country and the world at our institution and bring them together with our youth. Thus, our youth not only gain theoretical knowledge but also practical experience, becoming more ready for the sector. By developing themselves in the fields they are interested in, they acquire the necessary qualifications for job positions in both public and private sectors.”
Expressing his trust in the youth for Turkey’s tomorrow, Karagözoğlu concluded his speech by saying, “I fully believe that you youth, who produce and shape technology, will also perfectly shape tomorrow. In this regard, we have only one expectation from you youth: We expect you to work hard and continuously develop yourselves to achieve our country’s goals and contribute to domestic and national production. We are always by your side to support you in all these.”
