
Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu visited Ulak Haberleşme AŞ and received information about the products.
Later, in a press statement, Karaismailoğlu recalled that Ulak Haberleşme, a national asset in Turkey's broadband technologies, was established in 2017, and stated that ULAK Haberleşme, which engages in production, testing, assembly, and integration in communication systems, along with all kinds of marketing, import, and export, is among the Ministry's most dynamic business partners.
Noting that the 45 percent increase in electrical-electronic devices and machinery among exported products is a good rate, Karaismailoğlu said, "We are developing new strategies to elevate our country among the leading nations in electronic exports as well. In such an era, technological independence is the guarantee of our national independence. We are continuing our efforts day and night for this purpose."
Describing that the Ministry spent 2021 very productively and successfully, and that they have passed important stages in their 5G technology studies to be implemented with domestic and national resources, Karaismailoğlu also provided information about the works carried out in 2021.
Minister Karaismailoğlu: We Are in Cooperation with ULAK Haberleşme as the Ministry
Emphasizing that the Ministry is in cooperation with ULAK Haberleşme, Karaismailoğlu stated, "Ulak Haberleşme AŞ, a member of the New Generation Mobile Communication Technologies Turkey Forum we established in the transition process to 5G and beyond new generation communication systems, actively supports our digital transformation efforts. This young and dynamic company of ours played an important role in the preparation of the 5G and Beyond White Paper. In addition, ULAK Haberleşme's signature is also on the memorandum of understanding regarding the establishment of test network infrastructures in our 5G Valley Open Test Field project. In the 5G Valley we have created, there are various test and trial network infrastructures, including ULAK test network infrastructures. Under the 5G Valley Open Test Field agreement, the ULAK 4.5G base station and 4.5G core network functions test network were established in the ULAK building. Collaborations with our mobile operators have been established regarding the use of the ULAK Base Station, which has a domestic goods certificate. Our determination continues that all of the base stations to be established in 900 villages in our country will be ULAK Haberleşme's 4.5G base stations."
Minister Karaismailoğlu: We Support Domestic and National Product Development Efforts
Explaining that they are testing domestic and national connected autonomous vehicle technologies on highways equipped with the latest technology and advanced smart systems that elevate transport safety to the highest level, Karaismailoğlu said they support Ulak Haberleşme's domestic and national product development efforts together with universities.
Karaismailoğlu stated, "We will further increase our cooperation opportunities with ULAK, one of our pioneering institutions in the domestic and national development of transport and communication technologies and a national asset in broadband technologies."
Emphasizing that they intensively, effectively, and actively use the value-added products of informatics and innovation in all transport modes, Karaismailoğlu thanked public and real sector organizations that support the country's informatics, communication, and technology development processes, especially ULAK Haberleşme.
