Information Technologies and Communication Authority, in the second phase of the program organized through the Guest Association and with the contributions of Türk Telekom, enabled refugee and orphan children to receive their bicycles.
The ceremony, hosted by the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, was attended by RTÜK President İlhan Yerlikaya, President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Board Members Musa Şahin and Figen Kılıç, Institution Managers, Guest Association Manager Uğur Eleman, Syrian, Palestinian, African, Turkmen orphan children, and institution employees.
BTK President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, who delivered the opening speech of the program, began his remarks by greeting the little ones in both Turkish and Arabic. Previously, bicycles had been presented to some of the children during Ramadan. Noting that they had procured the remaining ones and hosted the children again at the institution, Sayan said, “As per our promise, we are presenting you today with the bicycles we obtained according to your ages and suitability.”
Sayan, who also stated that he loves riding bicycles, warned, “I just want to draw attention to one thing. We need to be careful with cars and avoid falling. If there are any brothers and sisters who don’t know how to ride bicycles, our big brothers and sisters should not leave them alone until they fully learn to ride.”
After the speeches, the little ones received their gifts from the hands of President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Board Member Figen Kılıç, and RTÜK President İlhan Yerlikaya.
