A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Ankara on October 26, 2023, between BTK and Portugal's National Communications Authority-ANACOM, establishing bilateral cooperation and enabling the sharing of knowledge and experience in electronic communications and postal matters. In this framework, a delegation from ANACOM visited BTK on January 18-19, 2024, and held meetings with the BTK President, the Vice President of the Board II, and the authorities of relevant units.
During the visit aimed at further strengthening the relations between the two institutions, experience and views were exchanged with the Portuguese delegation on matters such as electronic communications infrastructure and services, cybersecurity, spectrum monitoring, universal service, and emergency communications. Following the bilateral meetings, the guest delegation, which visited USOM, EHABS, Data Center, National Monitoring System, Universal Network Monitoring Center, BTK Academy, and Market Surveillance Laboratory, was provided with information about the institution's practices.
