Ankara The winners of the “I Am Coding My Game” Competition organized by Cebeci Middle School were presented with their awards at the ceremony held at BTK.
The award ceremony of the competition, also supported by the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, was attended by Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, MEB Head of Innovation and Educational Technologies Department Anıl Yılmaz, Cebeci Middle School Principal Murat Tekçe, BTK Deputy Institution President Gazali Çiçek, participating students, and their parents.
In his speech at the opening of the program, Governor Vasip Şahin expressed his satisfaction with the organization of the competition. Reminding that children used to produce their own toys in the past, Şahin said, “I was concerned that a generation is growing up that does not know this pleasure. However, I see in this competition that there is again a generation that can produce its own game. The difference here is that they do it using technology. Therefore, I would like to express that I am very pleased with the program. Seeing a return to tradition makes me happy.”
Cebeci Middle School Principal Murat Tekçe explained their objectives as enabling students to produce software and ensuring that our country gets a share from this market.
Following the speeches, plaques and awards were presented to the winners by the protocol members.
