The 71st Meeting of FM44, one of the subgroups of the Frequency Management Working Group (WGFM) operating under the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT), of which our country is also a member, was held in hybrid format at the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, hosted by our country, on 14-16 December 2022.
The Frequency Management Working Group (WGFM), the subgroup responsible for determining CEPT's strategy on frequency usage, evaluating global trends, and clarifying the implementation status across Europe, serves as the superior body for subgroups (EFIS/MG, SRD/MG, FM22, FM44, FM51, FM56, FM58, FM59, FM Radio Amateur FG, and CG-FS) that conduct studies on various usages (maritime, aviation, satellite, etc.), and is the mechanism where documents from these subgroups are discussed and finalized.
FM44, one of WGFM's subgroups, continues to work on satellite policy issues within CEPT, evaluates the necessary regulations for the use of the spectrum defined for space radiocommunication services upon request from WGFM, and fulfills tasks such as updating existing CEPT ECC Decisions, Recommendations, and Reports on space radiocommunication issues.
