The Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence Summit was organized under the auspices of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority. The event, carried out in collaboration with BTK Academy and Huawei Turkey, was attended by public and private sector representatives, as well as students interested in technology, with Information Technologies and Communication Authority President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu at the forefront.
Speaking at the event, President Karagözoğlu stated that innovative technologies such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence play a key role in the digital transformation currently underway. Karagözoğlu said, “Cloud computing is used for storing and processing data, optimizing business processes, and making more optimized decisions, while artificial intelligence contributes in many areas such as automation, predictive analysis, and improving customer experiences. Businesses and institutions can only gain a competitive advantage by using these technologies effectively, thereby achieving quite successful results in the long term.”
Expressing that artificial intelligence today combines its machine learning capabilities with cloud-based computing environments to enable intuitive and connected experiences, Karagözoğlu said, “By talking to the digital assistants on our smart devices and assigning them tasks, we establish relationships similar to those we form with humans. This makes our daily life practices easier. Such artificial intelligences enable users to shop, use smart home systems, or listen to their favorite song instantly, combining seamless artificial intelligence technology with cloud-based computing resources.”
Karagözoğlu: We are working with all our might at BTK to prepare our country and our youth for the digital world of the future.
Emphasizing that artificial intelligence and cloud computing together form the foundations of future technology, Karagözoğlu stated, “At this point, we are aware of our responsibility to adapt to these technologies and ensure their production. Our youth will shape Turkey’s future as individuals who not only consume technology but also produce it. A youth that understands the value and power of domestic and national production, and does not shy away from prioritizing science and technology, will carry our country even further in the international arena.”
Karagözoğlu concluded his speech by saying, “Under the leadership of our esteemed President, we are determined to achieve the 'Digital Turkey' goal through breakthroughs in innovative technologies such as cybersecurity, big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain required by the digital age. As a result of these efforts, we aim to transform our country into a high-tech production hub.”
Following the speech, awards were presented to the top 3 teams that placed in the Huawei R&D Coding Marathon within the scope of the Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence Summit.
