
BTK President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan spoke at the BTK Suggestion System 1st Award Ceremony organized by the Institutional Quality Evaluation Directorate. President Sayan stated that they value the ideas of the institution's employees.
The event, held at the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, was attended by Institution President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Board Members, Unit Managers, and employees. BTK President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan emphasized that BTK is an important institution serving as the regulator and supervisor in the telecommunications and informatics sectors in Turkey. He stated that the "BTK Suggestion System" project, launched on March 1, 2017, under the responsibility of the Institutional Quality Evaluation Directorate, aims to provide all employees at every level of the institution with the opportunity to share their thoughts, evaluate their ideas, and contribute to the institution's improvement, allowing them to express their ideas comfortably, see that these ideas are evaluated, and foster a sense of belonging.
Emphasizing that the BTK Suggestion System collects suggestions within the scope of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority's duties, powers, and responsibilities, Sayan noted that 129 suggestions were received in the June-December 2017 period; these suggestions were evaluated in terms of Administrative, Social, and Technology content; and expressed satisfaction that, in addition to the subjects in which employees have expertise, this situation reflects the potentials arising from their experience and knowledge accumulation.
President Sayan underlined that the suggestions received through the "BTK Suggestion System" are evaluated and rewarded through an objective, transparent, and fair method, and that during the decision stage to open suggestions for scoring and in the scoring processes, they are assessed under criteria such as quality improvement, cost reduction, customer satisfaction enhancement, environment improvement, process improvement, efficiency increase, and time improvement, without displaying personnel names according to content.
Reminding that the top 3 suggestions, which received the highest scores as a result of evaluations by institution personnel and the Suggestion Award Committee, were rewarded, Sayan emphasized that transforming the system into an institutional culture would be a gain for all relevant parties for sustainable success in the BTK Suggestion System. Sayan concluded his speech by thanking all participants for each suggestion sent to the BTK Suggestion System, stating that every employee's idea is important and could form the basis of a potential implementation that benefits the institution.
At the end of the program, awards were presented to the institution's employees whose suggestions placed by BTK President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan. Gülser Ayzıd Ceseroğlu from the International Relations Directorate took first place, Birgül Erseven Beyaz from the Consumer Relations Directorate took second place, and Ayşegül Gün from the Institutional Quality Evaluation Directorate took third place. "Certificate of Appreciation" was also presented to the owners of suggestions opened for scoring by institution managers.
