At the “Bilişim 500 Award Ceremony,” which has become traditional and where Turkey's top 500 most successful informatics companies are awarded, the companies received their awards. Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, who participated in the program online, emphasized domestic and national production in his speech. Sayan expressed his satisfaction with the organization of the program by saying, “The Bilişim 500 events, where the top 500 largest companies in the informatics sector in our country are determined based on their revenues, surely serve as a motivation source for many of our informatics companies, desiring to secure a place for their companies on the lists or to climb to a higher rank. I congratulate our top 500 informatics companies and all our companies that conduct important works even if they are not on the top 500 list, building the future of our Turkey.”
Defining the award-winning companies as the key to the sector, Sayan said, “You who operate in our sector are in the position of the key to social welfare and economic efficiency. Information and communication technologies are changing and transforming every sector. The strength of our informatics companies adds power to the power of other sectors as well. Especially during the pandemic period, we have once again seen how important information and communication technologies are in ensuring the continuity of our lives. During this process, investments in the informatics sector continued to increase without slowing down, and when we look at the figures, we see that the highest growth in the last 10 years for the informatics sector occurred in 2020. On this occasion, I sincerely thank from the bottom of my heart all our stakeholders who contributed at every level to each employee who continued their services day and night with great motivation during the pandemic period, who are the hands and feet of our people, and who brought us together with information and communication technologies while physical distances increased.”
