The second edition of the “Quarterly Market Data Report” containing developments in the electronic communications sector in 2017 has been published.
The President of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK), Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, made evaluations regarding the “Turkey Electronic Communications Sector 3-Monthly Market Data Report” for the second quarter of 2017 prepared by BTK.
INTERNET SUBSCRIBER NUMBER INCREASED 11-FOLD IN 9 YEARS
Stating that citizens were in the squares on the anniversary of the coup attempt, just like last year during the treacherous coup attempt on July 15, Sayan said, “We filled the squares with our citizens again and declared to the world that we will never give up our democracy and independence. On this occasion, I wish mercy from Allah to those who were martyred while standing up for our country on that dark night, and health and well-being to our veterans.”
Noting that BTK celebrated its 17th anniversary on August 15 with a ceremony attended by guests from the public and private sectors as well as institution employees, Sayan stated, “When we look at the stage our country has reached in the field of communications and information technologies, we proudly take pride in contributing to this development as an institution.”
Sayan made the following evaluations regarding the developments in our electronic communications sector during April-May-June of 2017:
