Ahmet Hamdi Atalay

He graduated in 1984 from the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at Yıldız Technical University. He completed his master’s degree in Cybersecurity at Gazi University.

He began his professional career in 1985 as an R&D Engineer at TELETAŞ Telecommunications Inc. Moving to NETAŞ Telecommunications Inc. in 1987, Atalay continued in the position he started as a Quality Engineer and in later years served as Mobile Communication Technologies Manager.

Between 2004 and 2009, he served as a Board Member at the Information Technologies and Communications Authority.

Between 2010 and 2015, he served as General Manager at PROBİL Information Technologies Inc., and during the same period as an Executive Board Member at NETAŞ Telecommunications Inc.

Between 2015 and 2020, he served as General Manager of HAVELSAN Inc.

Serving as President of the Information Security Association between 2011 and 2020, Atalay also held memberships in the TOBB Software Council and Telecommunications Council, the Defence and Aerospace Industry Manufacturers Association (SASAD), the Board of Directors of the Turkish Electronics Industrialists’ Association (TESİD), and the Internet Development Board. He also served as a board member in various companies.

Following his roles as Advisor to the Chair of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye National Defense Commission and Advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, he was appointed General Manager of TÜRKSAT Inc. on September 26, 2024.

By Presidential Decree dated July 4, 2026, Ahmet Hamdi Atalay was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
