Recently, due to terrorist incidents in our country and the transportation of certain criminal elements via cargo, BTK has issued regulations regarding the measures to be taken in coordination with postal sector representatives and the General Directorate of Security.
Following observations of terrorist incidents in our country recently, along with the transportation of certain criminal elements via cargo, consultations with the General Directorate of Security (EGM) have concluded that security measures for postal shipments need to be enhanced, necessitating regulations for the acceptance and delivery processes of postal shipments.
In this context, under the coordination of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, studies conducted with representatives from our General Directorate of Security and service providers operating in the postal sector, including PTT, have resulted in the preparation of regulations regarding the measures to be taken by companies to prevent the shipment of substances prohibited by law via postal services.
