Coordinated by the BTK, starting from 00:00 on the night of July 15 for Democracy and National Unity Day, subscribers calling from all mobile operators were played President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's voice message: "As your President, I congratulate you on July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. I wish God's mercy to our martyrs and health and well-being to our veterans." before all calls.
BTK President Ömer Fatih Sayan, in his statement on the matter, said: "We stand by our people and at their service against every threat targeting our nation, our national will, and the unity of our homeland. From video conference speeches that stamped July 15, to social media shares that kept us informed about each other, we stand against every kind of coup and occupation through all languages of communication."
In this regard, drawing attention to the importance of uninterrupted communication just like on July 15, 2016, Sayan stated that they work with great effort together with 460 licensed operators including Türk Telekom, Turkcell, and Vodafone to ensure this under all conditions, and that they are always at the nation's service.
BTK WAS ON DUTY ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF JULY 15
On the anniversary of July 15, BTK personnel were on duty under the leadership of BTK President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan during the July 15 Martyrs Commemoration Program.
Information Technologies and Communication Authority personnel, under the leadership of BTK President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, participated in the commemoration program that began with the "National Unity March" at the Old Assembly/Grand National Assembly of Turkey and ended with the "Opening of the July 15 Martyrs Monument at the Presidential Complex" as part of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day commemorations.
