Information Technologies and Communication Authority hosted its traditional iftar program.
The iftar program was attended by Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, President of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, BTK personnel, and guests.
Deputy Minister of UAB Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan emphasized the importance of sharing our bread with the poor during Ramadan. Pointing out that our culture is built on the principle of “the giving hand is better than the receiving one,” Sayan stated, “As you all know, we are members of an institution that leads the technological development of our country. As a result of the breakthroughs made over the last 17 years, we now have a Turkey that does not follow technology from behind but leads it. I would like to thank you and the BTK for working tirelessly to make our country strong in every respect. The BTK has become an institution that makes itself heard both across the country and abroad due to its establishment and organizational structure. We have worked hard together and made significant progress for the development of this country. Now, at the point we have reached, we have realized an important point: The more intensively and powerfully we work, the greater maneuvers we can make both in our country and in the world.”
Deputy Minister Sayan: All Our Efforts Are Aimed at Growing Our Country
Expressing that they are conducting their work so that the “National Technology Initiative” launched under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan can find its place in our lives, Sayan said, “All our efforts are aimed at growing our country, contributing to its development, providing the best service to our citizens, and increasing our efficiency within the GDP. I would like to remind these with a few short examples. Our biggest issue is Turkey. Not just independent in language, flag, and territorial integrity, but technologically independent, a Turkey that speaks its own word. Thank God, we have a leader who encourages, supports, and guides us in this regard.”
Deputy Minister Sayan concluded his speech by emphasizing the need for unity for Turkey.
BTK President Karagözoğlu: We Are Working to Approach the 2023 Vision
BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu also spoke at the iftar program. Emphasizing that we are living in a period where the rules of the global economy and technology are being rewritten every day, Karagözoğlu said, “Together with our management and valuable employees, we are working tirelessly to add value to our country with the responsibilities imposed by our mission. We are growing day by day in coordination with our stakeholders and with the contributions of our employees. We strive to be not only an action-taking institution but also one that sets policies and priorities and produces knowledge. In this context, we continue to work and run to get even closer to the 2023 Vision set by our esteemed President. Therefore, on this blessed day, I present my thanks to all of you for your efforts, determination, work ethic, and support in this direction.”
Stating that mutual assistance and solidarity come to the fore more during Ramadan, Karagözoğlu concluded his speech by saying, “Ramadan is a time of reckoning when a person begins to question himself. It comes before us every year as a divine opportunity to put an end to all bad habits. Ramadan is a great opportunity for us to open new pages towards the good and the beautiful, to beautify morality, and to establish right, truth, justice, and love. I hope we are among those who can evaluate this opportunity together. We know that Ramadan is a month of abundance, tolerance, understanding each other, embracing, and sharing. Because sharing means caring.”
