A new program has been added to those organized within the scope of 5G studies conducted under the leadership of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority.
At the Central Campus of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu met with the students accepted under the 5G and Beyond Joint Graduate Support Program for 5G studies.
Explaining the program's purpose as conducting studies in the 5G field and making the country a pioneer in this area through patent efforts, President Karagözoğlu highlighted the importance of 5G with the words: “The most important issue in the IT field is ensuring continuity. 5G is currently an area with very few definitions, one that you will define. When we talk about autonomous vehicles today, uninterrupted data is much more important. If a robot is to be controlled from very far away, we have no tolerance even for millisecond errors.”
Drawing attention to the fact that contributions will be made to academic studies in this field through the students' efforts, Karagözoğlu said: “We will ensure unity together with you. When we bring all the pieces together, we will have a whole. 5G Valley is a very valuable project. With your efforts, we will use the 5G we made ourselves, not the one we bought. It's a difficult but enjoyable topic. You are entering a field with very few articles. Because it's a new field all over the world.”
President Karagözoğlu later attended the 5G Valley Open Test/Network Infrastructure Information Meeting.
