Treasury and Finance Minister Albayrak addressed the youth, saying, “Do not be hopeless, we have hope." Minister Albayrak stated, “One of our dreams regarding young people, the 1 million programmer project, is a very important project in this regard. According to the latest figures, nearly 650,000 of our youth are registered in the system, with about 300,000 having updated and filled out their CVs. The average age of the young people taking these trainings is 21. The internet they use to access these trainings is free. There are dozens of trainings, with an education process exceeding thousands of hours. We tell our youth: come, log into your computer at home, take these trainings, develop yourselves at home, and do practices. There are dozens of trainings; we will increase their numbers by the end of the year.”
Albayrak explained, “We are preparing the world's most advanced and best trainings in every field and every language of software development for free on BTKAkademi. Young people learn software at home, learn coding, learn cybersecurity; at the end of the trainings they take, they take exams to measure their competence and receive a certificate if successful. The trainings they complete are instantly and automatically added and updated to their CV. Our young friends can start their own companies with these certificates or be employed in needed areas. We have collected these CVs in the BTK databank. Now, companies and firms in need of programmers can find and employ candidates matching their criteria from the databank.”
