The Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK) hosted an iftar program sponsored by Netaş, bringing together the IT world.
The program was attended by BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, Netaş CEO Cemil Müjdat Altay, TEKDER President Özcan Duman, and students.
In his opening speech at the program, BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu highlighted Netaş's innovative solutions in the field of information and communication technologies, which it has been providing for over 50 years. Expressing that BTK appreciates Netaş's efforts, Karagözoğlu stated, “The investments made over the last 17 years to position Turkey as a leader in the IT world are of great importance to our sector. We see the development of the IT and communications sector as a key priority for becoming a strong nation. In particular, we have made it our motto to produce domestic and national products in the technology field. As you know, Netaş is one of our most important supporters and stakeholders in producing 5G technology, which we aim to deploy simultaneously with all countries, using domestic and national resources.”
President Karagözoğlu: The Alphabet of Today's World is Software
Emphasizing the need for young people to advance technologically, Karagözoğlu said, “One is not born with education; but lives with it. It is very important for us that you grow up as individuals who produce technology rather than consume it, that you are properly guided and your management skills are developed to prepare for the world of the future. The alphabet of today's world is software and coding. If you want to progress in this direction, you must know coding to adapt to the new world order. You will carry this period forward. For this, you need qualities such as being open to innovation, thinking, researching, questioning, and taking risks,” concluding his speech.
At the program, Netaş CEO Altay and TEKDER President Duman made short speeches expressing their satisfaction.
