Certificates were presented to the students who participated in the trainings organized by BTK Academy.
The 2019-2020 Fall Semester Technology Camp Certificate Ceremony was held for students who qualified for certificates in the trainings provided by BTK Academy, which operates under the Information Technologies and Communication Authority. A total of 288 students were given certificates in the fields of Python Coding, Robotic Coding, and C#.
BTK Vice President Aysel Kandemir also attended the opening of the program. Kandemir, stating that the opportunities available to young people today are very different, expressed that children should benefit from the blessings of technology without falling behind on their opportunities. Emphasizing that everything changes with technology, Kandemir said that concepts such as good morals, virtue, and honesty will never change, and offered advice to children and parents.
Advising children to live on social media just as they live their daily lives, Kandemir said, “If you continue the culture you received from your families, you will better protect yourselves from the potential harms of technology. Your families also have significant responsibilities in this regard. Whatever they do to protect you during the day, they must continue doing so on social networks.”
Referring to BTK's efforts in this regard, Kandemir stated, “We have many stakeholders, and we establish many rules to protect you. Another service we provide to protect you from the harms of the internet is the Safe Internet Service. We offer these services in different categories completely free of charge as long as you request them. We can neutralize certain external dangers by locking our home door, but this is not the case on the internet. In this sense, the Safe Internet Service is our greatest assistant. As an institution, we do not only provide this service. We also organize these trainings you participated in to integrate you with technology and encourage you to shape your path accordingly. Our children's dreams and worlds are very vast; I believe they can achieve anything.” Vice President Kandemir concluded her remarks by advising the youth to read and research extensively.
Human Resources and Training Department Head Mustafa Ermiş also delivered a speech at the opening of the program. Providing details about the trainings offered, Ermiş said, “As BTK Academy, we organize free trainings in training classes under the instruction of institution experts/sector experts, without regard to weekdays/weekends or working hours, announce programs held in electronic environments, provide application opportunities, and serve equal opportunities in sharing knowledge.” Ermiş, who noted that certificates were given to 288 students in each branch, stated that they would continue these trainings.
