The Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK) is organizing a “Shoot & Send Video Contest” titled “Are You Online? Are You Safe?” to raise awareness among young people and children about using the internet more consciously.
Hosted by BTK, under the slogan “Join the Change; Let's Unite for Safe Internet!”, the event coinciding with World Safer Internet Day on February 7, 2017, will feature the introduction of the Safe Internet Center, a project of the BTK Internet Department.
Students from 5th to 12th grade across Turkey can participate in the contest. Students can submit their videos, limited to 60 seconds, by filling out the application form on www.gim.org.tr.
BTK Institution President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Deputy Institution President and Internet Department Head Dr. Ahmet Kılıç, BTK Press Advisor Mehmet Davut Göksu, TRT Çocuk consultant-artist Hüseyin Goncagül, and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Press, Publication and Public Relations Department Head Dr. Ahmet Recep Tekcan will serve as the jury. The following prizes will be awarded to the top ten students selected with the best video:
Prizes for 5th-6th-7th-8th grades:
1st Video: 5000 TL Education Scholarship
2nd Video: 3000 TL Education Scholarship
3rd Video: 1500 TL Education Scholarship
Special Mention: 2 people, 1000 TL Education Scholarship
Prizes for 9th-10th-11th-12th grades:
1st Video: 7000 TL Education Scholarship
2nd Video: 5000 TL Education Scholarship
3rd Video: 3000 TL Education Scholarship
Special Mention: 2 people, 1500 TL Education Scholarship
