Information Technologies and Communication Authority hosted the “Success Stories Session” as part of the “BTK Academy Career Summit 2022” event. Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, who moderated the panel, provided important advice to young people on building careers.
The event, organized by BTK Academy to raise awareness among young people at the beginning of their careers and guide them towards achieving their career goals, continued with the “Success Stories Session.” The session was moderated by Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
Sayan and the speakers gave tips to young people for a good career plan and shared their experiences on personal career journeys and social lives with the guests attending the event.
Emphasizing the importance of such events organized under the roof of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, Sayan stated, “Our goal is to bring together young people with CEOs, managers, and experts from leading sectors in Turkey and the world, such as telecommunications, cargo, and e-commerce. As BTK, we have previously organized many events especially for young people. Through these events we organized, we contributed to raising awareness among many young people to make the most of the opportunities and possibilities in their education processes. Many of our young people had the opportunity to establish direct communication with different institutions, organizations, and companies thanks to such events we organized. I consider this situation quite important in terms of our young people forming their career plans correctly.”
Also touching on Turkey’s successes in the telecommunications field, Sayan said; “Turkey is at an admirable position when compared to Europe and America in the telecommunications field. Just looking at cybersecurity index evaluations, we are 4th in Europe and 16th in the world.”
Stating that Turkey is among the best positions in the world in terms of communication and internet penetration, Deputy Minister Sayan expressed his trust in young people and his belief that young people will carry this flag to much higher ranks.
Explaining that the supports provided to the communications sector within the scope of the “Turkey Century” vision put forward under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will continue at full speed, Sayan emphasized the advantages that young people’s awareness of national and domestic production will provide in achieving success in the Turkey Century and future centuries. Sayan said that the lessons learned from the past are the most important key in shaping the future.
