
The Information Technologies and Communication Authority hosted primary school students. In the organized event, a seminar on safe and conscious internet use was given.
The Safe Internet Center, under the BTK Internet Department Directorate, delivered a seminar on safe and conscious internet use to students from Reşatbey Primary School. The event was attended by 210 primary school students, as well as school principal Metin Algül and 10 teachers.
At the opening of the program, Internet Department Director Bahadır Aziz Sakin provided information to the students about the Safe Internet Center. Stating that they have been operating since 2017, Sakin noted that training has been provided to 189,000 students, teachers, and parents to date. Reminding that trainings continued uninterrupted during the pandemic, Sakin shared that 38,309 people were reached through 284 trainings during the pandemic.
At the event, Aydın Çatak from the Safe Internet Center educators gave a presentation to raise awareness on topics such as cyberbullying, digital footprints, and passwords to be used on the internet. After the presentation, students and teachers toured the foyer area.
