The Teachers' Day Dinner Program organized by BTK Academy was hosted by the Information Technologies and Communication Authority. The program, which took place with the participation of Information Technologies and Communication Authority President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, was attended by a large number of teachers and instructors.
In his opening speech at the program, Information Technologies and Communication Authority President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu stated, “In this era where digitalization is accelerating, the sacred profession of teaching is gaining a whole new dimension. As BTK, we are working shoulder to shoulder with you on this path. Through BTK Academy, we have been reaching millions of people since 2019, facilitating access to knowledge and contributing to the upbringing of new generations as technology-savvy individuals. With our trainings in areas shaping the future such as software, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and blockchain, we are working to unlock the potential of our youth.”
Karagözoğlu continued, “Today, as BTK Academy, with over 2.5 million users, we are advancing with solid steps toward becoming a pioneering and respected education center in our field. However, this success does not belong to us alone. With the support of our esteemed expert instructors across Turkey, we have built a strong and visionary education ecosystem.”
Emphasizing that they aim to prepare the youth for the digital world of the future within the scope of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s “Century of Turkey” vision, Karagözoğlu stated, “Through events such as Coding Marathons and BTK Summer Camps organized by our Information Technologies and Communication Authority, we have instilled a passion and excitement for software among as many young people as possible across our country.”
Highlighting the importance of keeping young people safe on the internet, Karagözoğlu said, “In this direction, with the ‘Safe Internet Service’ launched in 2011, we have provided our citizens with a public service aimed at protecting children, youth, and families from harmful content such as obscenity, online child exploitation, gambling, violence, and racism in the internet world. Thanks to this service, offered completely free of charge, we both protect our youth from the harms of the internet and give our families peace of mind. Because our youth and their development into virtuous individuals come before everything else for us.”
Karagözoğlu concluded his speech by saying, “As in every field, the path to success in cybersecurity also passes through raising a generation proficient in technology. In the age we live in, we need not only individuals equipped with knowledge but also experts in critical areas like cybersecurity. I take great pride in seeing that with BTK Academy’s trainings, we have taken a major step toward this goal and in raising qualified individuals in this regard.”
The program concluded with a plaque presentation ceremony.
