The 12th Public Informatics Summit, organized by the Public Informatics Association this year, was held with Antalya as the host. BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu attended the summit, which was themed “Positive Communication.”
Speaking at the summit, BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu stated that the digital transformation process conveys the message that the public sector needs to develop faster, more effective, and more citizen-oriented solutions.
Expressing that as BTK they are conducting comprehensive studies for the most efficient implementation of 5G in Turkey, Karagözoğlu said, “In line with the goal of ‘a Turkey that is competent in science, technology, and innovation, produces, and increases its added value based on its own brainpower,’ we are developing various projects. We have been successfully conducting the 5G Open Test Field, 5G TR Forum, and 5G Valley initiatives for years.”
Karagözoğlu stated, “Our main goal here is to establish testing, verification, and trial infrastructure for all R&D and product development activities in the 5G and Beyond areas, and to support the delivery of new services we produce with our own resources to our people.”
Highlighting their aim to raise a generation capable of using all technologies in the best way possible, Karagözoğlu said, “At this point, the training programs organized by BTK Academy, established under our institution, are very important. With BTK Academy, we are preparing our youth for future technologies and supporting their educational journeys. We see each of our young people as an invincible soldier in domestic and national production.”
Emphasizing that cybersecurity is an extremely important and sensitive issue in the digital world, Karagözoğlu concluded his speech by saying, “As BTK, with our efforts in this field, we work day and night to ensure the security of both our institutions and individuals. At this point, the National Cyber Incident Response Center (USOM) forms a strong defense line for our country in the digital world. We do not let go of precautions even for a moment.”
