
Information Technologies and Communication Authority President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu and BTK Board Members met with the CEOs of Türk Telekom, Turkcell, and Vodafone.
The meeting, attended by Deputy President of the Authority Selamettin Ermiş, Board Members Dr. Ahmet Kılıç, Hacı Adnan Cengiz, Nurettin Şar, Orhan Öğe, and Rıdvan Kahveci, as well as Head of Board Affairs and Decisions Department Yakup Afşin, was quite productive.
Information Technologies and Communication Authority President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, together with Deputy President Selamettin Ermiş and the Board Members, visited the CEOs of the three operators serving in our country and received information about the preparations and other activities regarding Turkey's public 5G tests to be conducted domestically and nationally in 2020.
During the visit, Karagözoğlu, emphasizing the importance of the point Turkey has reached in the communication sector, stated: "As BTK, the regulatory and supervisory authority of the communication sector, the opinions of our operators are very valuable to us." Karagözoğlu said, "With this visit, we had the opportunity to discuss both the changes and innovations we can make in the communication sector and the 5G-related works that the whole world is eagerly awaiting."
Drawing attention to Turkey's relentless progress toward its 2023 targets at a running pace, Karagözoğlu said: "Our operators are preparing with all their might for the 5G tests we will conduct in 2020. 2020 will be the year of firsts in our country's communication sector."
