Transport, Maritime and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan explained the various measures taken by the ministry regarding the Blue Whale game, which drives young people to suicide worldwide, and warned families to be careful.
While the Blue Whale game, which causes young people to commit suicide, continues to pose a danger around the world, Transport, Maritime and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan informed and warned all families about the game through the media and highlighted the ministry's efforts.
Stating that efforts such as removing publications containing harmful content are ongoing, Arslan said: “This is a game played among users via special links. Pirates known as game administrators manage the game. This is the most dangerous part. We have no chance to block it like we do with other harmful content. It also has criminal penalties. Users should report to us when they encounter such wrongful actions or notifications. BTK and our Ministry of Interior are working on measures to be taken against it. We are conducting studies to remove games that appear innocent at the start but harm our youth in the end. As BTK, we can stop harmful content publications, but we can't do anything about games operating via such special links. We are working on it. BTK and security experts are working on it.”
