Huawei's "2023 Seeds for the Future Closing Ceremony," organized by Huawei, was held under the auspices of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority. Information Technologies and Communication Authority President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu also attended the event.
Speaking at the meeting attended by Huawei Turkey General Manager Kaya Shi, Turkish Ambassador to Beijing İsmail Hakkı Musa, and Chinese Ambassador to Ankara Liu Shaobin, Karagözoğlu made important statements about the impact of the current state of technology on the information and communication sector.
Emphasizing that Huawei's Seeds for the Future project cultivates talented young people worldwide and encourages them to achieve their goals, Karagözoğlu said, "Huawei's initiative is commendable. It enables young people to develop their skills by focusing on the latest technologies and innovative solutions in the digital world. I believe that this program, held for the eighth time in our country this year, offers an important opportunity to inspire young talents, enhance their curiosity about technology, and transform them into future leaders. Within the scope of this program, 30 outstanding talented students selected from various universities in Turkey will participate in the training camp, where they will receive training on topics such as 5G, artificial intelligence, cloud, and digital energy. It is an undeniable fact that these trainings provide a significant opportunity for students to expand their technical knowledge and advance further in their professional careers."
Stating that, as BTK, paving the way for bright-minded young people and supporting their initiatives to ensure beautiful tomorrows for Turkey is one of their biggest goals, Karagözoğlu added, "To achieve our goals in this regard, we will continue our efforts with the same dedication and determination in the coming period as we have done so far. In this sense, I believe that the new ideas and projects emerging from such organizations will have a significant impact on increasing domestic and national production, contributing substantially to our growth rates in the coming years."
President Karagözoğlu also touched upon the many innovations in this year's Seeds for the Future training camp, saying, "Innovations such as providing a $100,000 seed fund to the project teams that rank in the top three worldwide in the global Tech4Good project competition launched in 2021, receiving support from a Tech4Good consultant while developing projects during the camp period, and successful teams in the worldwide evaluation having the opportunity to participate in the Startup Sprint program to be held in China next year raise the bar much higher and provide young people with important opportunities. I thank Huawei and everyone involved in the organization for this valuable and beneficial project, and I wholeheartedly congratulate our young people who have demonstrated their success in participating in this project and seized a good opportunity on the path to the future."
Following the speeches, the ceremony concluded with the presentation of Huawei Seeds for the Future certificates to the students who successfully completed their training.
