The Turkey Cyber Security Cluster organized the 3rd Sector Summit. The program was also attended by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
In the program, Sayan, who spoke about Turkey's works related to cyber security, announced that they aim to provide cyber security at the highest level.
Stating that the global competition has shifted to the cyber realm, Sayan said, "Attacks are carried out with virtual weapons. Therefore, providing cyber security means providing national security. Our guide in this regard is very clear: the National Technology Move roadmap drawn by our esteemed President. With this vision granted to us, we prioritize domestic and national production efforts in every field. Especially domestic and national production in the cyber security field is very important for the future of our country. What I said may be valid for the entire technology world, but deviating from the motto of being domestic and national, particularly in the cyber field, is equivalent to entrusting the keys to our home and car to a complete stranger passing by."
Deputy Minister Sayan: Domestic and National Production in the Cyber Security Field is Very Important
Emphasizing the importance of domestic and national production in the cyber security field, Sayan said, “What I said may be valid for the entire technology world, but deviating from the motto of being domestic and national, particularly in the cyber field, is equivalent to entrusting the keys to our home and car to a complete stranger passing by. I want to underline this once again. Therefore, I attach utmost importance to the ecosystem to be established regarding cyber studies.”
Stating that investing in human resources is very important for this purpose, Sayan said, “In this context, we are conducting activities to train the human resources needed by our country in the cyber security field, to increase cyber security awareness in every segment of society, and to enhance the competencies of SOME and other sector stakeholders. We can list our 'Cyber Star' competitions and FETİH Cyber Training Ground Projects within this scope. With these projects, by instilling a love for informatics in young people and reaching young talents, we provide them with opportunities to advance on the path to professionalization.”
