BTK President Sayan: Internet Subscriber Count Approaches 50 Million

Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK) President Ömer Fatih Sayan announced that the number of broadband internet subscribers reached 48.6 million in 2015, marking an 18% increase from the previous year.

Sayan made evaluations to an AA correspondent regarding the 4th quarter report of 2015 prepared by BTK.

 

 

 

14.8% Increase in Fiber Subscriptions

Drawing attention to the 14.8% increase in total fiber subscriptions, Sayan stated that with the widespread adoption of broadband services, a significant portion of operators' revenues has begun to come from data revenues.
