BTK employees supported the Yenikapı Democracy and Martyrs Rally

The Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK) management team and central unit employees gathered together to support the "Democracy and Martyrs Rally" held on August 7 at the Istanbul Yenikapı Rally Area. Institution managers and employees, gathered under the leadership of BTK President Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, marched together from the BTK central building to Kızılay Square. Dr. Sayan and the institution employees, who followed the Yenikapı rally live from Kızılay Square, continued the democracy vigil until late at night.

"Now 15 July has a special feature; 15 July has opened a door of compromise for us. As of 15 July, there is a new Turkey. If we can carry this power and this culture of compromise even further, we will leave a beautiful Turkey to our children together," he said.

Approximately 5 million people attended the rally. An aerial inspection by helicopter from the Istanbul Police Department, through analysis of the number of people per square meter, indicated that approximately 5 million citizens came to Yenikapı for the rally, and this figure represents a record participation when considering previous rallies.
