
A promotional meeting was held for the summer camps organized by BTK Academy, which operates under the Information Technologies and Communication Authority.
At the meeting, Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, who made statements about the camps, said that the way to shape the future is through providing good education.
Referring to the valuable work done by BTK Academy in this field, Sayan stated, “The seeds planted in the soil today will enable our country to make a leap in technology in the future, pave the way for the training of software developers and engineers who will lead technological developments in the world. With this program that brought us together today, we will gain new soldiers for our sector.”
Sayan, who said that the aim of this camp is to bring middle school, high school, and university-aged youth who want to develop themselves in the field of software into education, said, “In BTK Academy, whose opening was performed by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we have reached thousands of young people with our face-to-face trainings to date and enabled hundreds of them to become professionals. Although we had to pause our face-to-face trainings due to the pandemic, we made very good use of this period. Now we are much more experienced and much more determined.”
Deputy Minister Sayan: We Are Very Close to Reaching 1 Million Students
Deputy Minister Sayan shared the following data regarding BTK Academy: “There are approximately 925 thousand registered students in BTK Academy. Both our student numbers and training numbers are increasing every day. It won't be long before the BTK Academy portal reaches 1 million students. With our new face-to-face trainings that we will open, we will reach 684 young people in 10 provinces under 18 training topics. This is just the beginning. In the near future, we will organize these camps in 81 provinces across Turkey and continue to reach students.”
Sayan concluded his remarks by advising the youth to make good use of the opportunities that come their way.
BTK Summer camps will be held in Ankara, Istanbul, Van, Van/Erciş, Samsun, Izmir, Erzurum, Kastamonu, Muş, Bursa, Eskişehir. The topics of the trainings to be given in these camps are as follows:
