CPG(19)-9. The meeting started in Ankara on August 26. Approximately 205 people participated from 37 European countries, including primarily national administrations, private sector representatives participating with observer status, and from other regions.
The Conference Preparatory Group (CPG), which continues its work under the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT), of which our country is a member, has held 8 meetings to date. It serves as a forum aimed at preparing European positions for the 2019 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-19) and the 2019 Radiocommunication Assembly (RA-19) to be held in Egypt from October 28 to November 22, 2019, at ITU/R. The purpose is to assist CEPT administrations that are members of ITU regarding the conference agenda and work schedule by creating coordinated positions, summaries (Briefs) related to agenda items, agreed European Common Proposals (ECPs), etc.
The meeting, which will continue from August 26-30, will be the group's last meeting. It is expected that the preparations for the ITU/R WRC-2019 Conference will be finalized at the end of the meeting. As a result of the work carried out by the Sub-Project Groups PT A, PT B, PT C, and PT D operating under the CPG Group on the WRC-19 Agenda Items assigned to them, the agreed European Common Proposals and Summaries will be adopted upon the completion of CPG(19)'s work.
