
Turkey Informatics Association organized the 36th National Informatics Congress themed "Secure Digital Future: Artificial Intelligence" at the BTK Conference Hall.
The opening of the program was attended by Information Technologies and Communication Authority President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, Turkey Informatics Association President Rahmi Aktepe, as well as numerous sector representatives. In his speech at the opening of the program, BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu stated that Turkey needs to reduce costs in priority areas to increase its share in markets where international competition is more ruthless than ever. Karagözoğlu said that domestic and national information and communication technologies products need to be designed, produced, and sold in world markets to reduce costs.

Stating that Turkey has become a country not only following technological developments but also leading advancements in this field, Karagözoğlu said, "Our country has come to compete with the world in many areas such as defense industry, machinery, real estate, food, textiles, iron-steel, informatics, and software infrastructure. For Turkey to increase its share in markets where international competition is more ruthless than ever, it needs to reduce costs in priority areas. Moreover, the importance of informatics is indisputable for our country to secure top positions in the science and technology race in the future."
Pointing to the studies on 5G technology, Karagözoğlu said, "While developing domestic and national 5G, we are preparing fertile ground for the next-generation technologies that will follow 5G. With the increases in efficiency, we will turn Turkey into a larger and more prosperous economic power."
